Workshop Fee is $150(or combined cost for both workshops with Leon Okun is $250)
In this workshop, there will be a lot of emphasis on achieving dimension in the drawing. Also, students will be introduced to new materials such as sanguine, watercolor pencil, and a wet and dry technique of drawing. This method of drawing is done on velum paper using a brush and charcoal pencil, and allows students the ability to bridge drawing and painting. There will be frequent techniques and a lot of photo references. This workshop is also from life, and is a great accompaniment to the portrait painting workshop.

In this workshop, the students will get a clear understanding of approaching a long portrait painting. On the first day, students will learn how to create a controlled environment for his or her painting, starting with compositional sketches, and different methods of laying in a painting. On the second day, I will teach students how to continue on a painting that is already dry. This workshop will bridge the methods that are used at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and methods of Studio 2nd Street. There will be a lot of helpful critiques, and photo references. The painting will be done from a live model.
