Richard Morris

Saturday May 20-Sunday May 21

9am-5pm both days

Workshop Fee is $150

Richard Morris is an emerging young artist whose highly collected work has been featured at the Wendt Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. His first one-artist show at the Gallery at the Landing in Westlake Village California was a sell-out. The work of this classically trained artist draws heavily from the traditions of the Victorian period of art history. Richard paints the traditional subjects of landscape, figure, and still-life as well as portrait commissions. Influenced by such masters as Anders Zorn, and John Singer Sargent, Richard has developed a style that is reminiscent of the masters yet is entirely his own. In addition to being an accomplished draftsman and painter, Richard is an instructor in figure drawing and painting at the California Art Institute in Westlake Village. He also teaches at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, and has also given in-depth workshops at several California colleges.
