Located within the Rancho Mission Viejo Development, the Sendero Community Garden is a 5-acre community garden that provides workshops, community activities, and gathering spaces for potlucks and events.
Rather than offering individual plots, the Sendero Garden is based on the agricultural neighborhood (“agrihood”) model, enriching the surrounding community by providing a single farm for residents to cultivate together, sharing in the process and the harvest.
Full time farmers offer additional learning and engagement, and generate revenue by selling produce at the farmstand.
The Sendero Community Garden includes in-ground row crops, raised planter beds, fruit trees, perennial edibles and flowers, a composting system with loading access, a chicken coop, a hoop house, a children’s play area, picnic tables, a farm stand, an event plaza with restrooms, and a barn outfitted with a chiller, sinks, and a tool shed.
